The Superstar Classic once again upholds tradition by setting a new standard for discerning drummers, all while reducing the price. With a Tama T-shape badge and sleek low-mass single lugs reminiscent of the 70's, the Superstar Classic draws on its heritage while introducing innovative features like the Star-Mount system and thinner gauge 100% maple shells.

The configuration of the Superstar Classic includes an 18x22 Bass Drum, 8x10 Tom Tom, 9x12 Tom Tom, 14x16 Floor Tom, and a 6.5x14 Snare Drum. The carefully selected maple wood used in the construction of the Tom Tom, Floor Tom, and Snare Drum gives the Superstar Classic its powerful character and rich resonance.

The Star-Mount System, developed to increase drum resonance, provides support at four points on the batter side hoop of a drum. The innovative mounting system features bracket eye-bolts that slide to the left and right, allowing for optimal positioning even when setting up two toms close to each other.

Unique to the Superstar Classic series, the low-mass lugs reduce the surface area that occupies the shell, enhancing resonance without compromising stability. The TAMA L-Rod and Omnisphere tom holder systems offer easy positioning, maximum flexibility, stability, and improved sound. The Power Craft II drum heads on the Superstar Classic provide a great sound right out of the box, with ring mufflers on bass drum heads eliminating the need for extra internal muffling.

The built-in rubber lining on the claw hooks stabilizes the wood hoops on bass drums, protecting the wood and maintaining tuning even during extended performances. Features of the Superstar Classic include 100% maple shells, a Star-Mount System, low-mass lugs, Omnisphere Tom Holder, and Power Craft II drumheads.
